RS Feva boats at the Kereked Cup
The season opening RS Feva fleet contest has recently been held at Csopak, organised by the Kereked sport association. The competition was conducted according to the Hungarian Sailing Association’s rank-list rules.
The fleet has covered all the concerning rules and completed all six rounds of the race, successfully. Sports clubs from the western part of Lake Balaton has participated in the competition, alongside competitors of the VGYE sport club. The winners of the first two places, Botond Őrszigety – Ágoston Náray and Bendegúz Náray – Borbála Náray, have already gained advantage during the races on Sunday and the next day brought an exciting battle for the third place to be finally won by Lőrinc Tóth – Bátor Göblyös-Sztrókai.
Competitors of the VGYE sport club (Vitorlázó Gyermekekért Egyesület) won the first three places, making it clear that taking part in the training program during the spring had its advantages. Special thanks to the supporting team and parents.
Although, we expected more RS Feva boats to come. The RS Feva class-association expected 20 boats, however, boats of the eastern part of the lake haven’t made their arrival. Thank you to the clubs BMVI, Vagabund, and KYC for the participation. Hopefully, for the next rank-list competition which will be held at Alsóörs between 23th-24th June, more clubs will participate as there are more than 40 boats at the Hungarian RS Feva fleet. The more so, as the next competition will be an important one considering the Hungarian Championship and the following Eurocup (taking place at Balatonfüred) at the end of July.
The Hungarian Championship and the Eurocup are going to be international events, and we are expecting 20-30 foreign boats to participate.
